The APA has officially opened its Call for Entries for the 2015 Audies Competition What’s new? In response to publisher requests, we have added a new category this year. The Judges Award – Science & Technology honors audiobooks that highlight advances and/or creativity in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Last year’s Judges Award, Erotica, has been added as a regular category. Please read the category descriptions carefully, as there are some changes. We’ve made an effort to clarify some categories with descriptions (e.g. Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Paranormal). We’ve also combined History/Biography, and added Autobiography/Memoir as a separate category. Visit The Audies Competition online for the complete list of categories, rules, eligibility, and other details about the entry procedure. Deadlines are as follows: August 22, 2014 – for titles issued from November 1, 2013 through July 31, 2014 October 17, 2014 – for titles issued from August 1, 2014 through October 31, 2014 The 2015 competition is mostly digital. The majority of categories for the 2015 Audies Competition will continue to be managed digitally. This process is much more efficient for publishers and judges alike, and we thank Audible.com for helping make this possible. What categories are NOT going digital?
